Frequency, Abundance and Distribution of Lichen In National Botanical Garden, Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh

An investigation was carried out to study lichen flora of National Botanical Garden, Dhaka, during the tenure May 2018 April 2019. Seven genera lichens namely Chrysothrix, Cladonia, Cryptothecia, Herpothallon, Parmelia, Pertusaria and Usnea were recorded from 15 blocks Garden. Lichens abundantly grown their number increased June October, whereas November gradually decreased. The maximum frequency percentage (36.52) association found in Parmelia while minimum 2.48 Usnea. Among three different heights, highest within 2 4 feet. Most exclusively, all studied blocks, other identified observed randomly. present will be helpful enrich knowledge on biota Bangladesh.
